Senior Game Designer

Team Bondi is an independent game development company based in Sydney, Australia. Headed up by Brendan McNamara and featuring a team of seasoned games professionals, Team Bondi will produce next-generation console titles.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Senior Game Designer on a design-led, high profile next-generation console title. Team Bondi offers excellent opportunities for those wishing to work in a team atmosphere with a staff of respected veteran engineers on an original IP project. Successful candidates will report directly to the Lead Designer.

Required Experience

• Minimum 4 years design experience
• Credited Senior Designer, having shipped at least 2 AAA, X-Box or PS2 Action/Adventure titles
• Team management experience
• Experience with 3D software preferably with Maya
• Experience of sandbox style game-play
• Have a sound knowledge of AI constraints and design fundamentals

Required Qualifications

• A bachelor of arts degree in arts or product design or have overwhelming game design experience
• Understanding of basic programming or scripting languages is a plus

Required Skills

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Able to focus and work without micro-management
• Ability to take direction and accept critical review of your work
• Clear understanding and appreciation of schedules and milestones
• A passion for and broad knowledge of console games with an ability to critically analyse them
